1 Und der HErr3068 sprach559 zu Samuel8050: Wie lange trägst56 du Leid um Saul7586, den ich verworfen3988 habe, daß er nicht König4427 sei über Israel3478? Fülle4390 dein Horn7161 mit Öl8081 und gehe3212 hin, ich will dich senden7971 zu dem Bethlehemiter1022 Isai3448; denn unter seinen Söhnen1121 habe ich mir einen König4428 ersehen7200.

2 And Samuel8050 said,559 How349 can I go?1980 if Saul7586 hear8085 it, he will kill2026 me. And the LORD3068 said,559 Take3947 a heifer5697 1241 with3027 thee, and say,559 I am come935 to sacrifice2076 to the LORD.3068

2 Samuel8050 aber sprach559: Wie soll ich hingehen3212? Saul7586 wird‘s erfahren und mich erwürgen2026. Der HErr3068 sprach559: Nimm3947 ein Kalb von3027 den Rindern5697 zu8085 dir und sprich559: Ich bin kommen935, dem HErrn3068 zu opfern2076.

3 And call7121 Jesse3448 to the sacrifice,2077 and I595 will show3045 thee853 what834 thou shalt do:6213 and thou shalt anoint4886 unto me him853 whom834 I name559 unto413 thee.

3 Und sollst3045 Isai3448 zum Opfer2077 laden7121; da will ich dir weisen, was du tun6213 sollst, daß du mir salbest4886, welchen ich dir sagen559 werde.

4 And Samuel8050 did6213 853 that which834 the LORD3068 spoke,1696 and came935 to Bethlehem.1035 And the elders2205 of the town5892 trembled2729 at his coming,7122 and said,559 Comest935 thou peaceably?7965
|
4 Samuel8050 tat, wie ihm der HErr3068 gesagt559 hatte6213, und kam935 gen Bethlehem1035. Da entsetzten sich2729 die Ältesten2205 der Stadt5892 und gingen935 ihm entgegen7125 und sprachen1696: Ist‘s Friede7965, daß du kommest?

5 And he said,559 Peaceably:7965 I am come935 to sacrifice2076 unto the LORD:3068 sanctify yourselves,6942 and come935 with854 me to the sacrifice.2077 And he sanctified6942 853 Jesse3448 and his sons,1121 and called7121 them to the sacrifice.2077

5 Er sprach559: Ja7965, ich bin kommen935, dem HErrn3068 zu opfern2076; heiliget euch6942 und935 kommet mit mir zum Opfer2077! Und er heiligte6942 den Isai3448 und seine Söhne1121 und lud sie7121 zum Opfer2077.

6 And it came to pass,1961 when they were come,935 that he looked on7200 853 Eliab,446 and said,559 Surely389 the LORD's3068 anointed4899 is before5048 him.

6 Da sie559 nun hereinkamen, sah7200 er den Eliab446 an und gedachte, ob der vor dem HErrn3068 sei sein935 Gesalbter4899.
|

7 But the LORD3068 said559 unto413 Samuel,8050 Look5027 not408 on413 his countenance,4758 or on413 the height1364 of his stature;6967 because3588 I have refused3988 him: for3588 the LORD seeth not3808 as834 man120 seeth;7200 for3588 man120 looketh7200 on the outward appearance,5869 but the LORD3068 looketh7200 on the heart.3824

7 Aber der HErr3068 sprach559 zu Samuel8050: Siehe5027 nicht an7200 seine Gestalt4758 noch seine große1364 Person6967; ich habe7200 ihn verworfen3988. Denn es gehet nicht, wie ein Mensch120 siehet. Ein Mensch120 siehet, was vor Augen5869 ist, der HErr3068 aber siehet das Herz3824 an7200.

8 Then Jesse3448 called7121 413 Abinadab,41 and made him pass5674 before6440 Samuel.8050 And he said,559 Neither1571 3808 hath the LORD3068 chosen977 this.2088

8 Da rief7121 Isai3448 dem Abinadab41 und ließ5674 ihn vor6440 Samuel8050 übergehen. Und er sprach559: Diesen hat977 der HErr3068 auch nicht erwählet.

9 Then Jesse3448 made Shammah8048 to pass by.5674 And he said,559 Neither1571 3808 hath the LORD3068 chosen977 this.2088

9 Da ließ5674 Isai3448 vorübergehen Samma8048. Er aber sprach559: Diesen hat977 der HErr3068 auch nicht erwählet.

10 Again, Jesse3448 made seven7651 of his sons1121 to pass5674 before6440 Samuel.8050 And Samuel8050 said559 unto413 Jesse,3448 The LORD3068 hath not3808 chosen977 these.428
|
10 Da ließ5674 Isai3448 seine sieben7651 Söhne1121 vor6440 Samuel8050 übergehen. Aber Samuel8050 sprach559 zu Isai3448: Der HErr3068 hat977 der keinen erwählet.

11 And Samuel8050 said559 unto413 Jesse,3448 Are here all8552 thy children?5288 And he said,559 There remaineth7604 yet5750 the youngest,6996 and, behold,2009 he keepeth7462 the sheep.6629 And Samuel8050 said559 unto413 Jesse,3448 Send7971 and fetch3947 him: for3588 we will not3808 sit down5437 till5704 he come935 hither.6311

11 Und Samuel8050 sprach559 zu Isai3448: Sind935 das die Knaben5288 alle? Er6311 sprach559: Es ist3947 noch übrig7604 der Kleinste6996; und siehe, er hütet7462 der Schafe6629. Da sprach559 Samuel8050 zu Isai3448: Sende7971 hin und laß ihn5437 holen; denn wir werden8552 uns nicht setzen, bis er hieher komme.

12 And he sent,7971 and brought935 him in. Now he1931 was ruddy,132 and withal5973 of a beautiful3303 countenance,5869 and goodly2896 to look to.7210 And the LORD3068 said,559 Arise,6965 anoint4886 him: for3588 this2088 is he.1931

12 Da sandte er hin und ließ7971 ihn holen. Und er war935 bräunlich132, mit5973 schönen3303 Augen5869 und guter2896 Gestalt7210. Und der HErr3068 sprach559: Auf6965! und salbe4886 ihn; denn der ist‘s.

13 Then Samuel8050 took3947 853 the horn7161 of oil,8081 and anointed4886 him in the midst7130 of his brethren:251 and the Spirit7307 of the LORD3068 came6743 upon413 David1732 from that day4480 3117 1931 forward.4605 So Samuel8050 rose up,6965 and went1980 to Ramah.7414

13 Da nahm3947 Samuel8050 sein Ölhorn7161 und salbete ihn mitten unter7130 seinen Brüdern251. Und der Geist7307 des HErrn3068 geriet6743 über4605 David1732 von dem Tage3117 an und fürder. Samuel8050 aber machte sich auf6965 und ging3212 gen Rama7414.

14 But the Spirit7307 of the LORD3068 departed5493 from4480 5973 Saul,7586 and an evil7451 spirit7307 from4480 854 the LORD3068 troubled1204 him.

14 Der Geist7307 aber des HErrn3068 wich von Saul7586, und ein5493 böser7451 Geist7307 vom HErrn3068 machte ihn sehr unruhig1204.
|

15 And Saul's7586 servants5650 said559 unto413 him, Behold2009 now,4994 an evil7451 spirit7307 from God430 troubleth1204 thee.
|
15 Da sprachen559 die Knechte5650 Sauls7586 zu ihm: Siehe, ein böser7451 Geist7307 von GOtt430 macht dich sehr unruhig1204.
|

16 Let our lord113 now4994 command559 thy servants,5650 which are before6440 thee, to seek out1245 a man,376 who is a cunning3045 player5059 on a harp:3658 and it shall come to pass,1961 when1961 the evil7451 spirit7307 from God430 is upon5921 thee, that he shall play5059 with his hand,3027 and thou shalt be well.2895

16 Unser Herr113 sage559 seinen Knechten5650, die vor ihm stehen1245, daß sie einen Mann376 suchen, der5059 auf6440 der Harfe3658 wohl2895 spielen5059 könne3045, auf daß, wenn der böse7451 Geist7307 Gottes430 über dich kommt, er mit seiner Hand3027 spiele, daß besser mit dir werde.

17 And Saul7586 said559 unto413 his servants,5650 Provide7200 me now4994 a man376 that can play5059 well,3190 and bring935 him to413 me.

17 Da sprach559 Saul7586 zu seinen Knechten5650: Sehet7200 nach einem Manne376, der5059 es wohl3190 kann auf Saitenspiel, und bringet935 ihn zu mir.
|
|
18 Then answered6030 one259 of the servants,5288 and said,559 Behold,2009 I have seen7200 a son1121 of Jesse3448 the Bethlehemite,1022 that is cunning3045 in playing,5059 and a mighty1368 valiant man,2428 and a man376 of war,4421 and prudent995 in matters,1697 and a comely8389 person,376 and the LORD3068 is with5973 him.

18 Da antwortete6030 der5059 Knaben5288 einer376 und3068 sprach559: Siehe, ich habe2428 gesehen7200 einen Sohn1121 Isais3448, des Bethlehemiten1022, der kann wohl auf Saitenspiel; ein259 rüstiger Mann376 und streitbar und verständig995 in Sachen1697 und schön8389, und der HErr1368 ist3045 mit ihm.

19 Wherefore Saul7586 sent7971 messengers4397 unto413 Jesse,3448 and said,559 Send7971 me853 David1732 thy son,1121 which834 is with the sheep.6629

19 Da sandte7971 Saul7586 Boten4397 zu Isai3448 und ließ7971 ihm sagen559: Sende deinen Sohn1121 David1732 zu mir, der bei den Schafen6629 ist!

20 And Jesse3448 took3947 an ass2543 laden with bread,3899 and a bottle4997 of wine,3196 and a259 kid,1423 5795 and sent7971 them by3027 David1732 his son1121 unto413 Saul.7586

20 Da nahm3947 Isai3448 einen Esel2543 mit Brot3899 und ein259 Legel Weins3196 und ein Ziegenböcklein und sandte7971 es Saul7586 durch3027 seinen Sohn1121 David1732.

|
21 And David1732 came935 to413 Saul,7586 and stood5975 before6440 him: and he loved157 him greatly;3966 and he became1961 his armorbearer.3627 5375

21 Also kam935 David1732 zu Saul7586 und5975 dienete vor6440 ihm, und er gewann ihn sehr3966 lieb157, und er ward sein Waffenträger5375.

|
22 And Saul7586 sent7971 to413 Jesse,3448 saying,559 Let David,1732 I pray thee,4994 stand5975 before6440 me; for3588 he hath found4672 favor2580 in my sight.5869
|
22 Und Saul7586 sandte zu Isai3448 und ließ7971 ihm sagen559: Laß4672 David1732 vor5869 mir bleiben5975, denn er hat Gnade2580 funden vor meinen Augen6440.
|
|
23 And it came to pass,1961 when1961 the evil spirit7307 from God430 was upon413 Saul,7586 that David1732 took3947 853 a harp,3658 and played5059 with his hand:3027 so Saul7586 was refreshed,7304 and was well,2895 and the evil7451 spirit7307 departed5493 from4480 5921 him.

23 Wenn nun der5059 Geist7307 Gottes430 über Saul7586 kam, so nahm3947 David1732 die Harfe3658 und spielete mit seiner Hand3027; so erquickte sich7304 Saul7586, und ward besser2895 mit ihm, und der böse7451 Geist7307 wich5493 von ihm.
